Donald "Don" M. Adams, 87, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Willowbrook in Vandalia, IL.
 
Private Family Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020, at the First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Tom Goodell, officiating. Memorials: First United Methodist Youth Fund. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net.
 
He was born December 12, 1932, in Marion County, IL, the son of Maurice Cephas & Hilda M. (McNicol) Adams. Married Patricia Diane Engelhardt on June 26, 1955, in Vandalia, IL. Don was an avid quail hunter, golfer, ball player and coach. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service; was a US Army Veteran-Korean Conflict; member of the First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL,Temperance Lodge #16, A.F.A.M. Vandalia, American Legion Post #95 40 et 8, Vandalia Jaycee's and Vandalia Country and Golf Club.
 
He is survived by: Wife - Diane Adams, Vandalia, IL; Sons - Doug Adams & Sue, Greenville, SC and David Adams, Vandalia, IL; Daughters - Patti Bohner & Steve, Vandalia, IL, Allison Horn & James, St. Peters, MO, and Elizabeth Grant & Steve, Edwardsville, IL; Brothers - Dick Adams & Jane and Darrell Adams & Lynda, all of Patoka, IL; Sisters - DeAnne Thompson & Larry and Darlene Gaston, all of Patoka, IL; Sister-in-law - Mary Lou Adams, Patoka, IL; Grandchildren - Blake, Connor, Alex, Andrew, and Lauren Adams; David and Cameron Grant; and Great Grandson - Max Adams. 
 
Preceded in death by: Parents; and Brother - James Dale Adams.
