Shirley F. Brown, 77, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on May 8, 1948. Shirley was the youngest of eleven children born to Alva Kaiser and Clara (Cearlock). Growing up in a large family shaped her warm, caring spirit - qualities that would define her entire life.

On July 23, 1966, Shirley married the love of her life, Jim D. Brown. Together, they built a life centered on family, devotion, and simple joys. They were blessed with two sons, Roger D. Brown (Deniese) and Rick E. Brown (Christina), who remained her pride and joy throughout life.

Shirley cherished her role as grandmother to Jessie Newberry (Ryan) and delighted in her five great grandchildren; Aubree Merrill, Bailee Merrill, Makyla Merrill, Gabriella Merrill, and Britton Merrill.

She is survived by her two siblings; Karen Hare and Dewey Dunaway. She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings and brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, IL, officiated by Johnny Sanders. A visitation will be held prior to the service, also at the funeral home from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow services at Craig Cemetery in rural Ramsey, IL.
