James "Jim" Edward Johnson, age 89, of Ramsey, IL, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.

Jim was born February 7, 1936, in Ramsey, Illinois, the son of Rudolph E. Johnson and Ivy Ione (McFarland) Johnson. He married Aloris June Bolyard on December 5, 1958. She passed away on July 21, 2006. Jim later married Lulubell (Washburn) Hanley on June 8, 2007. Mr. Johnson served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired Machinist for Crane Packing in Vandalia. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing and was affiliated with Crown Point Church in Vandalia, IL.

He is survived by his wife; Lulubell of Ramsey, daughters; Rose Fisher of Vandalia, IL, Terri (John) Devall of Vandalia, IL, Beth Johnson of North Carolina, and Vickie Hutchcraft of Paducah, KY, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, sister; Betty (Gary) Schafer of Pana, IL, and sister-in-law; Marilyn Johnson of Rockford, IL.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, his parents, sisters; Mary Jones, Kathy Clucas, and Barb Porter, five half-brothers, four half-sisters, and son in laws; Steve Fisher and David Hutchcraft.

Services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Crown Point Church in Vandalia, IL, officiated by pastor Pete LeDuc. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery in Vandalia, IL. A visitation will be held prior to the service, from 9:00AM to 11:00AM also at Crown Point Church. Memorial donations can be made out to the American Diabetes Association.
