Shirley Mae “Beanie” Forbis, 77, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at her home in Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 20, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Tom Goodell officiating. Burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials: Fayette County Hospice and/or First United Methodist Church. She was born February 7, 1946, in Mobile, AL, the daughter of Kenneth Dale & Lula Mae (Moiren) Forbis. She worked as a seamstress at Medline Industries, Vandalia, IL for 30 years and later worked in the deli at IGA and County Market in Vandalia, IL; she loved her dog, Shorty; she enjoyed crafting, going on shopping trips, and going out to eat with family.

She is survived by: Sister - Vivian Walker & Roger, Vandalia, IL; Brother - Bobby Forbis & Paula, Vandalia, IL; Niece - Jacy Fulk & Greg, Brownstown, IL; Nephews- Eric Forbis, Springfield, IL, Kirk Forbis & Veronica, Vandalia, IL; and Sean Walker & Angelina, Berwyn, IL; Several Great and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.
