Shelley Lynn Boley, 64, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at SBL Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 16, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday, two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials: Fayette County Cancer Fund and/or Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. She was born December 15, 1958, in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Denzel Keith "Denny" & Jane Lila (Runge) Boley. After high school she worked in Los Angeles, California for an airline making reservations; and she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL.

She is survived by: Mother - Jane Boley; Brother - Michael Boley; Uncle - Brad Boley & Debbie, all of Vandalia, IL; Aunt - Linda Morton, Saint Peter, IL; Niece - Haley Tompkins & Jacob; Nephew - Brendan Boley & Anna Miller, all of Vandalia, IL; Cousins - Phil Morton, Mount Vernon, IL, Tammy Leidner, Sevierville, TN, Terry Antrium, Effingham, IL, Christy Reitz, Las Vegas, NV, and Ben and Brandon Morris, Florida. 

Preceded in death by: Father; Grandparents - Gene & Edith Boley, Emil Runge and Elda Higgins; Aunts - Jeanine Boley and Mae Reitz; Cousin – Sandy McDevitt.
