Mickey Allen Rogers, 80, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Willowbrook Memory Care in Vandalia, IL, his last home, surrounded by his family.
Interment and Service will be held at a later date at Spring Hill Cemetery, St. Elmo, IL. Memorials: Evans Public Library, Vandalia, IL or St. Elmo Public Library, St. Elmo, IL.
Mick was born August 8, 1941, in Rural Brownstown, IL (his beloved Wright's Corner), the son of Thomas Andrew & Caddie M. (Claytor) Rogers. Married Molly Lou Miller on November 21, 1966, in Baton Rouge, LA, she passed away May 22, 2008.
Mick and Molly moved to Vandalia in 1979, when he founded Rogers Adjustment Service. He had a true entrepreneurial spirit and truly appreciated hard work and the relationships he developed over the years. He was a voracious reader throughout his lifetime, most recently enjoying the daily newspaper and sharing the news with others. His grandchildren were the true joy of his life and they will carry his love and wonderful stories with them forever.
Mick is survived by his daughter, Karla Rogers, and his grandchildren Logan Rogers, Carson Howard, Caddie Howard, Avery Rogers; and great grandson Jaxxon Wair; and sisters Wanda LaBounty and Rosalyn Hartman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Molly Rogers; daughter: Jennifer Rogers-Knebel; siblings: Glen Rodgers, Don Rodgers, Thomas Rogers, Roberta Doty, and Joan Ralston; nephew: Todd LaBounty, and niece: Debbie Rodgers Lilly.
