Mark Alan Hagy, 68, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 25, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Robert Weaver officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service. Memorials: Second Chance Animal Rescue and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. He was born February 18, 1955, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Dwight Laverne & Bessie Rose (Holman) Hagy. He worked as a Correctional Officer at the Vandalia Correctional Center for 25 years and was a farmer; a member of Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447; Vandalia Eagles Club #3901; Fayette Co. Farm Bureau; Vandalia Country and Golf Club; the NRA and was affiliated with Unity Baptist Church. Mark was an avid hunter and enjoyed horse racing and tinkering in his garage. 

He is survived by: Mother - Bessie Hagy, Vandalia, IL; Daughters - Whitney Thompson & Brock, Petersburg, IL, Tori Hagy, Dyer, IN, and Remington Hagy, Ramsey, IL; Son - Colton Hagy, Jacksonville, IL; Grandchildren - Charlotte Thompson and Ashton Trotter; Sisters - Cindy Doehring & Kirk, Vandalia, IL and Beverly Horton, Vandalia, IL; and Niece & Nephews.

Preceded in death by: His Father.
