Marilyn Jean Baumann, 95, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Greenville Nursing and Rehab Center in Greenville, IL.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Dr. Jerry Baumann officiating. Burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2023, one and a half hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials: Fayette County Hospital Gift Shop Pink Ladies. She was born March 26, 1928, in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Forrest Edward & Lois Marie (Seibert) Taylor. She married Gerald Dale Baumann on November 24, 1945, Vandalia, IL. He passed away on April 8, 2004. She worked as ward clerk at Belleville Memorial Hospital and later at the Collinsville Ben Franklin Store; she volunteered for many years at the Fayette County Hospital Gift Shop and Pink Ladies; was a member of Unity Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL; and participated on the women’s bowling teams.
She is survived by: Sons - Dr. Jerry Baumann & Teri, Fair Grove, MO, Randy Baumann, Vandalia, IL, and Michael Baumann & Carol, Shelbyville, IL; Daughter - Ladonna Huie & Jim, Collinsville, IL; Sister - Sue Carter, Mount Sterling, IL; Sisters-in-law - Mary Ann Taylor and Donna Taylor, both of Vandalia, IL; 12 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; Brothers - Edward Taylor, Leroy "Bud" Taylor, and Daniel Taylor & Pat; and Sister - Janice.
