He was born May 6, 1992, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, IL, to David and Angie (Garrison) Dugan. He was raised in Vandalia, IL and had lived in Springfield, IL since graduating from college. Kyle was a 2010 Vandalia High School graduate. He graduated from Kaskaskia College in 2012, then from Greenville College in 2015, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Accounting. He had completed all requirements for the CPA licensure at the end of 2020. He was a lifelong active member of the First United Methodist Church in Vandalia, attending Westside Christian Church while living in Springfield. He was a fun spirited, intelligent, caring, kind, and considerate man, as well as a devoted Christian. He readily shared his faith with others through his actions, service and testimony. He loved God, his family, his friends, the family dog, Beamer, video gaming, fishing, vacationing with family and friends and telling stories. He played sports throughout his entire time in Vandalia and was a lifelong avid sports fan too, especially of the LSU Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals and Blues, the Vandalia Vandals, and the Auburn (IL) Trojans. There was not a sports statistic he didn’t know, or share, with those who enjoyed them as much as he. He was a fantastic son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. His last act of giving to others was as an organ donor, as per his wishes.

He is survived by his parents, David and Angie; his sister and her fiancé, Abby Dugan and Mike Fabela; his grandma, Linda Dugan and husband James Hejl; his grandparents, Robert and Ruth Ann Garrison; his aunts and uncles, Duane and Tonna Dugan, Darin and Kara Dugan, Elvin and Shannon Lay, Robert and Kristina Garrison, and Pat and Toni Cocagne; his cousins, Micah Hamm, Lauren Dugan, Hannah Dugan, Evyn Barker, Lauren Peterson, Paige Brennan, Karsyn Garrison, Zoe Cocagne, and Jett Cocagne; his life- long best friend, Dillion Higginbotham and wife Hannah; and multiple other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by: His Grandad, Bob Dugan; and his cousin, Ryan Dugan.
