Joyce A. Smith, 88, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in Fayette County Hospital ER, Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at First Baptist Church, Mulberry Grove, IL, with Brother Doug Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the church (1 hour prior to the service). Memorials: First Baptist Church, Mulberry Grove, IL and/or Kids Ark. Joyce was born October 26, 1933, in Bond County, IL, the daughter of Herschel Monroe & Ruth Olive (Wells) Ellis. She married Allen Lee Smith on March 4, 1955, in Mulberry Grove, IL. She was a former receptionist at Dr. Hans Rollinger's office, Vandalia, IL; and a member of First Baptist Church, Mulberry Grove, IL.

She is survived by: Husband - Allen "Smitty" Smith, Vandalia, IL: Son - Stan Smith & Julie, Memphis, TN: Daughter - Vicky Largent & Gerald, Vandalia, IL:
Grandchildren - Sara Caldieraro & Keith, Heather Garrison & John and Tim Largent & Tracee; Great Grandchildren -  Macy, Jase and Jenner Largent, Annly, Isla and Ellis Garrison, Nailah and Zailyn Farmer; Bailey and Tyler Caldieraro; and Great Great Grandchild - Dominic Crump.

Preceded in death by: Her Parents; and Sister - Louellen Dodd.
