Private Family Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, Vandalia, IL. Public visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, Vandalia, IL. Memorials can be made via The Class of 2004 Jonathan Denton Children's Education Fund.

Jon was born December 1, 1985 in Vandalia, IL, the son of Merle D. Denton and Julie M. (Kretzmann) Myers. He married the love of his life, Christina M. Steber on May 4, 2019 in Brownstown, IL. He was the owner of Howie's Sixth Street Syndicate in Vandalia IL, where he was building his dream and working beside his wife, his business partner Chris Walton, and his many amazing employees. Jon had a sense of humor that made everyone laugh along with him. Jon had a smile that would light up any room. He had an intense passion for music, loved competing in pool tournaments and pool leagues and loved St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. Jon enjoyed many things in this world, but he loved his wife and children more than anything. He was an amazing Husband and Father.
He is survived by his loving wife Christina Denton, Brownstown, IL, 2 sons, Kohen T. Denton and Atlas A. Denton, Brownstown. 3 step daughters, Taralyn T. Taylor, Olney, IL, Eliza C. Glascock, Centralia, IL, and Emerie D.Dilley, Brownstown, IL. Father: Merle and Amy Denton, Brownstown IL. Mother: Julie and Roger Myers, Effingham IL, Sisters: Jennifer Scott and Will, Fenton, MO. Stephanie Stephens Taylorville IL, Step-Brother: A.J. Tackett and Kendra, Brownstown, IL, Step-Sister: Tara Tackett, Brownstown IL, life long best friend Andrew Sarver and Jessica, Edwardsville, IL, Father-in-law: John P. Steber, Olney IL, Mother-in-law: Theresa Dowland, Olney IL, many beloved nieces and nephews, and so many close friends that he considered family.
Jon was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
