John David Grubaugh

John David Grubaugh, 53, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Aperion Care in St. Elmo, IL.

Memorial services will be held at St. Elmo Christian Church on February 4, 2023 at 10:00 a.m with meal to follow. Private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Elmo Christian Church, St. Elmo, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. John was born February 19, 1969, in Vandalia, IL, the son of James Ray & Mary Ann (Cable) Grubaugh. He was a hard, dedicated worker and was employed by Walmart, Frito Lay, and Grubaugh Construction. John was a member of the St. Elmo Christian Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, shooting, and his coon dogs. 

He is survived by his father, James Grubaugh of Vandalia, IL; Sisters - Kim (Tim) DeSherlia of Pana, IL; Nancy Grubaugh (Danny Tanner) of Paoli, IN, and Pamala Jacobs of Effingham, IL; Aunt - Doris Cable; Nieces - Amber Gathe and Elisa (Mark) Sands; Nephew - Josh (Carla) Reindl; Great Niece - Alma; Great Nephews - Magnus, Collin, & DeClan; and Friends - Tony Koberlein, Tim Michel, and Ron Gould.

John was preceded in death by: His mother.
