Irene Edna Clara Dial, 93, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at SBL Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Brett Corneluis officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials: American Cancer Society and/or Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. She was born June 15, 1930, in Shobonier, IL, the daughter of Albert John & Martha Marie (Lange) Braasch. She married Arthur Earl Dial on April 14, 1946, in Vandalia, IL. He passed away on September 19, 2002. She retired from Johnson, Stephen, Shinkle Shoe Co., Vandalia, IL in 1970, and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

She is survived by: Niece - Sharon Dolly, Shobonier, IL; Sister-in-law - Marybelle Ledbetter, Vandalia, IL; and Several Nephews & Nieces.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; Brothers - Arthur, Herbie, Walter "Butch", and George Braasch; Sisters - Hildegarde Wasmuth, Linda Riedle Gehle, and Erna Alcorn; Step-Mother - Julia Torbeck; Step-Brother - Walter Bertram; and Step-Sister - Codelia Ray.
