Howard L. Belcher, 80, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at his home in Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, April 14, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Dennis Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Griffith Cemetery, Rural Brownstown, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He was born November 8, 1942, in Breese, IL, the son of Herschell Noah & Zelma S. (Meyer) Belcher. He married Janet Sue Washburn on June 30, 1978, in Vandalia, IL. He was a retired sheet metal assembler and riveter for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing Aircraft in St. Louis, MO; member of Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447, and a member of IAM Local 837A for Boeing assembly mechanics.

He is survived by: Wife - Janet S. Belcher, Vandalia, IL; Sons - Ralph Belcher & Robin, Altamont, IL, Howard Belcher, Jr. & Elissa, Canton, GA, and Chad Belcher & Marcia, Vandalia, IL; Daughters - Lisa Law, St. Louis, MO, Angel Swank & Larry, Effingham, IL, and Chandi Chamberlin & Bill, Ramsey, IL; 19 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; Sister - Marlene Harmon & Don, Centralia, IL.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Grandson - Jeremy; Brother - Harold; and Sister - Evelyn.
