George Rhodes, 74, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, in SBL Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Crown Point Church, Rural Vandalia, with Pastor Pete LeDuc officiating.  Memorials: To the George Rhodes Family, Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. He was born, October 11, 1946, in East Saint Louis, IL, the son Joseph Curtis & Martha Meta (Frischkorn) Rhodes. George married Marie Ann Case, January 26, 1967 in East St. Louis IL. He was a retired Welder for Dome Railroad Services, Wood River, IL, U.S Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of Crown Point Church, rural Vandalia, IL.

He is survived by: Wife - Marie Ann  Rhodes, Vandalia, IL; Son - David Wayne Rhodes & Connie, Flora, IL; Daughter - Lisa Marie Shreve & Carl, Vandalia, IL; Son - Robert Eugene Rhodes & Paula, Gillespie, IL; Brothers - Jim Rhodes, Huey, IL; John Rhodes & Georgia, Shobonier, IL; and Steve Rhodes & Mary, Mascoutah, IL; Sister- Marlene Christ & Fred, Belleville, IL Grandchildren - Jessica, Taylor, Megan &Treanna;  Great Grandchildren - Chloe & Beckett
