David Wilson Obituary

David Vaughn Wilson was born in Santa Ana California March 22nd, 1943. He attended Santa Ana high school and played his #65 proudly on his high school football team.

He enjoyed the ocean and beach life with his closest friends. He was known as the "seal" for his powerful body surfing. These would be stories he would share for a lifetime

Years later David met his then wife Sharyn in Oregon and they together had a daughter. Who He somehow knew the exact second, she would be born, despite her mother's enthusiasm of her child going quite past her due date.  Being a father was his greatest joy.

David was so intrigued by the space program once his family moved to Florida, that's where he picked up photography being able to go behind the scenes at Kennedy space center and shooting photos of space shuttle Atlantis which were eventually used for local display.

In his later years David took a cross country trip to see the things he wanted, camera in hand, and shot some of the most beautiful pictures of this amazing land. That is where he found the aspen trees of Colorado and that one moment of his life, he never felt more peace. Per his wishes David will be cremated and laid to rest amongst them at a later date.

If you knew David, you knew his quirky ways.  His dry humor.  His rain man like abilities at blackjack and poker, his love for Native American history and art, his joy of photography, his ability to make anything fun as he was a kid at heart. He was very intelligent and loved a good sammich. He will be missed more than he knows.

He is survived by his daughter Megan Walton (Wilson) of Vandalia Illinois and husband Chris Walton along with three grandchildren Kaleb (Pookie) Walton, Brylee Walton and Korbin Walton.  As well as his former wife and still friend Sharyn Dudley Wilson of Port St. John Florida.

David is proceeded in death by Father Harold Wilson, Mother Irene Cottle brother Arthur Rambo and daughter Ginger Edward's.

No services will be held at this time.

Ride the Rollercoaster, get lost in the stars, make it memorable.... David sure did.
