Daniel E. "Boone" Carruthers, 85, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, in Springfield, IL. 

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Travis Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Ramsey Cemetery, Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 19, 2022, (2 hours before the service) at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Rehoboth Association Campground. He was born April 13, 1937, in Elkhorn, WI, the son of Claude P. & Ima S. (Hardiman) Carruthers. Married Deborah Sue Woodward on April 22, 1989, in Danville, Kentucky. Boone was a Physical Therapist with Memorial Home Healthcare throughout the surrounding area and was a member of Vera Baptist Church, Vera, IL and Brownstown Baptist Church, Brownstown, IL.

He is survived by: Wife - Deborah Sue Carruthers, Ramsey, IL: Son - Daniel "Boonie" Carruthers & Lisa, Ramsey, IL: 4 Daughters - Lana Black & Cloyd, Auburn, IL, Danita Tippet & Jason, Jones, OK,  Melinda Carruthers, Saint Petersburg, FL and Ima Jo Towler & Travis, Plymouth, OH: Brother - Richard Carruthers, Ramsey, IL: 2 Sisters - Donna Depew, Shiloh, IL and Nancy Stanton, Hillsboro, IL: 13 Grandchildren - 11 Great Grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by: Parents: 4 Brothers - Robert, Ray, Roy and Cloide and 6 Sisters - Claudia Alice, Mary, Rosallie, Helen, Rebecca and Imogene.
