Alvin Harry Travis, Jr., 43, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, at his home in Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Karen File and Pastor Rodney Caswell officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 1 hour prior to the service, on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Donor’s Choice. Alvin was born June 19, 1979, in Lawton, OK, the son of Alvin Harry & Vicki Rae (vonMotz) Travis. He loved NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt with his current driver being Chase Elliott; Alby loved the song "Elvira", it was one of his first words; loved to sing, especially worship music - many of his friends called him the "Mighty Man of God". He always had a great sense of humor with a "personal flare". Alvin was affiliated with Center Pointe Church, Vandalia, IL.

He is survived by: Mother - Vicki Rickett & John, Vandalia, IL; Father - Alvin Travis, Sr. & Judi, Elgin, OK; Sisters - Tamara Hollon & Doug, Aubrey, TX, Shanna Werner & Will, Vandalia, IL, Becki Allen, Lawton, OK, and Chelsea Travis, Cyril, OK; Brothers - David Witcher & Judi, Oklahoma City, OK, Mike Witcher & Jenny, Crossville, TN, and Cody Travis, Cyril, OK; and Several Nephews & Nieces.
