Alvena H. (Adermann) Noffsinger

Alvena H. Noffsinger, 98, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at SBL Fayette County Hospital, LTC in Vandalia, IL. 

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Timothy Landskroener officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2023, 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials: Fayette County Hospice, Fayette County Hospital LTC Activity Fund and/or Holy Cross Lutheran Radio Ministry. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. She was born October 2, 1924, in Witt, IL, the daughter of Ferdinand Gustave & Ellanora Henrietta (Godberson) Adermann. Married Herschel Elmer Noffsinger on January 18, 1945, in Long Beach, CA, he passed away October 11, 1992. She was a retired laborer at Wallace Pencil Factory and secretary at Murphy's Dime Store, all of Vandalia, IL; Member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Holy Cross Ladies Society, and American Legion Auxiliary, all of Vandalia, IL. Alvena also loved to dance and spend time with her family and friends. 

She is survived by: Many Loving Nephews & Nieces; and a Dear Friend - Edna Wiss, Vandalia, IL. 

Preceded in death by: Her Parents; Husband; Son - Gary Noffsinger; 3 Brothers - Edwin, August and Earl; and Sister - Freda Moeller.
