William "Bill" G. Rademacher, 93, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 05, 2016, in Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 08, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, with Pastor Terry Westerfield, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, July 08, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Evans Public Library, First United Methodist Church and/or Vandalia Alumni & Friends Foundation, all of Vandalia, IL.

He was born November 30, 1922, in Gillespie, IL, the son of Frank & Ollie (Elvers) Rademacher. Married Iris Jean Brooks August 17, 1952, Vandalia, IL. Bill graduated in 1948 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in 1952 he received a Master's in Educational Administration from the Colorado State College of Education, Greeley, CO.; His teaching career included teaching Business for 4 years at Northwestern High School, Palmyra, IL, one year at Shelbyville High School, and 31 years at Vandalia Community High School. Bill was a US Navy veteran serving from February, 1943 - August, 1946, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL.

He is survived by: Wife - Iris Rademacher, Vandalia, IL; Sons - Stephen Rademacher & Barb, Imperial, MO & David Rademacher & Beth, Sandoval, IL; Daughter - Lea Ann Rubin & Bruce, Saint Peter, IL; Sister - Ivonia Hopper & William, Gillespie, IL; 11 Grandchildren; and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: Parents; 2 Brothers, Willis & Walter "Sonny"; Sister - Clara Fraser.
