William "Bill" A. Koester, 67, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Dan Laack, officiating. Private Burial. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 7, 2017, before the service, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. He was born, January 10, 1950, in Cook County IL, the son of George H. & Helen E. (Jezbera) Koester. Married Roberta Fae Giller, December 30, 1999 in Ramsey, IL. He was a retired Electrician at CIPS in Coffeen, IL; Navy Veteran; and affiliated with the Catholic faith. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, shooting, and fishing. Bill cherished nothing more than spending time with his family and his beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by: Wife - Roberta Fae Koester, Ramsey, IL: 2 Sons - Patrick Koester, KY and Bash Eccles, IL: 3 Daughters - Becca McCulley, AR, Donna Rebbe & Joel, Vandalia, IL, and Dawn Christensen, St. Elmo, IL: 3 Brothers - George Koester, Chuck Miller and Ted Pulaski, all of IL; 12 Grandchildren; Several Nephew & Nieces.

Preceded in death by: Parents, 1 Daughter- Jenny; and 1 Sister.
