Wanda Kay Fulton Frakes Scammahorn

Wanda "Kay" Scammahorn passed away August 12, 2021 at Regional Medical Center, Bayonet Point, Florida.

A memorial service will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.

She was born January 11, 1952 in New Albany, IN, the daughter of Robert Fulton and Beatrice Stephens. She married Loren Frakes Jr. in July 20, 1968. They were the parents of Teresa Frakes-Morales, Shepherdsville, KY, Loren Frakes III (L.T.) and Michael Frakes & Misty, all of Vandalia, IL. She married Sam Scammahorn on August 14, 2004 and she incurred a step-daughter, Samantha Stockton of Shumway, IL and brother-in-law, Ronald Scammahorn, Denver, CO.

Wanda is survived by Sam Scammahorn, all Children; Grandchildren-Zackery, Tristin, Thomas, Kaylea, Chris, Paige and Hunter; Great Grandchild-Wesley; Brothers- Rick Fulton & Peggy, Russell Fulton & Michellia and Ronnie Fulton; and Sister-Carolyn Fulton.

She was mostly known around Vandalia area for owning and operating Kay's Pizza, a local hang out located across from the Vandalia High School in the 1990's. She loved her family and her dogs; collecting frogs; warm weather; traveling; shopping and watching all crime shows, especially CSI. She will be greatly missed.
