Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 03, 2013, at Bethel Baptist Church, Rural Vandalia, IL, with Rev. Ernest Flowers & Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 02, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: McInturff Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL. She was born July 31, 1920, in Livingston, IL, the daughter of Jake L. & Ada C. (Rachow) Thacker. Married Voris R. Smith on April 8, 1939, St. Louis, MO, he passed away January 25, 1990. She was a Nurses Aide at Fayette County Hospital, Member of Fayette County Home Extension, & Bethel Baptist Church, all of Vandalia, IL. She is survived by: Sons - Kenneth Smith, Robert Smith & Helen, Edward Smith & Jackie & Herbert Smith & Debbie, all of Vandalia, IL; Daughters - Karen Little, Hewitt, TX & Marilyn Kopp & Mike, Vandalia, IL; Brother - Bill Thacker, Mulberry Grove, IL; 13 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; & 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
