Veda "Faye" Lorton, age 91, formerly of Ramsey, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Pana Health and Rehab Center in Pana, IL.

Faye was born October 13, 1934 the daughter of Percil Evans and Jennie (Jennings) Evans in Louden Township, IL. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years and worked as a homemaker taking care of her family. Faye loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed tending to her plants and flowers, as well as her garden. She was also an avid Cardinal and Illini fan.

She is survived by her children, Jay Lorton of Fillmore, Denny (Monica) Lorton of Ramsey, Louis (Margaret) Lorton of Greenville, Mark Lorton of Cowden, Valerie (David) Brown of Ramsey, Vickie (Byron) Bowman of Mt. Zion, and Mistie (Kristopher) Adermann of Ramsey; her grandchildren, Jade (Dalton) Forehand, Amy (Aaron) Cowzer, Kristen Lorton, Heather (Chuck) Zieber, Melissa (Tyler) Barnett, Aaron Lorton, Alex Lorton, Jerad (Kendra) Lorton, Kayla (Keith) Van Uytven, Natasha (Matt) Hites, Zach (Alyssa) Brown, Breanna Brown, Megan (Michael) Holman, Austin (Stephanie) Bowman, Kyle (Moriah) Adermann, Kolten (Jadelin Skelton) Adermann, Kendell (Camille) Adermann; and her great grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, Cade, Hallie, Carolynn, Cheyanne, Claire, Jacob, Abigail, Andrew, Kassidy, Karlee, Matthew, Marcus, Mackynzie, Graham, Kaleb, McKenna, Eliana, and one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at the First Baptist Church in Ramsey, IL at 11:00 A.M. officiated by Pastor Nick Robertson. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. also at the church. The committal service will be held after the services at Lorton Cemetery in rural Cowden, IL. Memorial donations can be made out to Miller Funeral Home or the Ramsey Food Pantry. Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL is in charge of arrangements.
