Steven R. Hoover, 66, of Bingham, Illinois, formerly of Vandalia, IL, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022, at Greenville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Greenville, IL.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 1, 2022 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Doug Cyrus officiating.Family & friends may gather at 10:30 A.M. He was born July 23, 1955, in Vandalia, IL, the son of James Robert and Virginia Gertrude (Papes) Hoover. Steven worked railroad construction and farmed.He enjoyed the outdoors including hunting and fishing and loved to mushroom hunt; andmember of the Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, Vandalia, IL and the Fillmore Sportsman's Club, Fillmore, IL.

Steven is survived by: Brothers - Mike Hoover & Sharry Nelson, Irving, IL; Randy Hoover & Christina, Mulberry Grove, IL; Andy Hoover & Christina, Mulberry Grove, IL and Jack Hoover, Mulberry Grove, IL; Sisters - Patricia Hoover, Jacksonville, AR;Amy Harris & John, Vandalia, IL. Several Nieces and Nephews & Great Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by: Parents; 2 Brothers- Joe and David and Niece- Rachel and Nephew - Byron.
