Stephen Wallace "Steve" Torbeck, age 80 of Shobonier, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at OB's Place in Shobonier, IL. He was born February 11, 1945 in Vandalia, IL the son of Wallace Clarence and Audrey (Denning) Torbeck. Steve worked in construction and he loved doing anything outdoors; including, fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, camping, and playing music. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his Significant Other - Patty Vonburg of Shobonier, IL; Children - Christine, Ricky Dale, Stephanie, Steven "Tracey", and Stacey; Several Grandchildren; and Sister - Fran Cole & Keith of Vandalia, IL.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brother - Marion Torbeck; and Sister - Patricia Casey.
