Stella Ray Ward, 76, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Crown Point Church, Rural Vandalia, IL with Pastor Pete LeDuc officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 AM, one and a half hours prior to the service at the church. Memorials: To the Family. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 27, 1947, in Illinois, the daughter of John Henry & Marjorie (Carter) Depew. She worked in maintenance at Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia, IL and loved spending time with her grandchildren and dog, Izzy.

She is survived by: Sons - Bill Ward, Vandalia, IL and Robert Allen Ward & Becky, Brownstown, IL; Daughters - Sara Wilson & Tim, Fillmore, IL and Lisa Green & Eric, Vandalia, IL; Brother - John Wesley Depew, Shelbyville, IL; 8 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren.
