Shirley M. Campbell, 84, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019, at her home in Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating, Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL, Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL and 10:00 AM to11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 30, 2019, before service at the Church. Memorials: Vandalia Community Schools Foundation.

She was born April 19, 1934, in rural Brownstown, IL, the daughter of Joseph William & Violet Fern (Helm) Smail. Married John Lewis Campbell, June 22, 1958, in Vandalia, IL. She was a retired Business Teacher at the Vandalia Community High School and an adamant VCHS school supporter in both Academics as well as Sports. Shirley enjoyed attending school functions and sporting events, and was even the score keeper for the Girls Basketball and Volleyball games. She attended the First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL

She is survived by: Husband - John L. Campbell, Vandalia, IL; Sons - John W. Campbell & Whitney, Vandalia, IL and Joe Campbell & Laura, Beecher City, IL; Daughters- Nancy Campbell & Tracy, Altamont, IL, Sara Storm & Tim, Hillsboro, IL Susie Durk & Randy, O'Fallon, IL; Sisters - Janet Jackson & Lagar, Decatur, IL and Pat White & Nelson, Clinton, IL; 12 Grandchildren.

Preceeded in death by: Her Parents.
