S. Paul Beccue, 92, of Altamont, IL, formerly of Brownstown & Vandalia, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont, IL. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL with Dr. Lowell Donnelley officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, in St. Elmo, IL with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL (1 hr before the Service). Memorials: Lutheran Care Center, Altamont, IL. Paul was born on December 12, 1919, in Brownstown, IL, the son of Samuel Frederick and Laura Loretta (Mahon) Beccue. He married Margaret (Mathias) Long. Paul was retired Owner/Operator of Beccue Floor Service and a World War II Army Veteran and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Crawford-Hale Post #95, American Legion, Vandalia, IL and Past Commander also a member of V.F.W. in Brownstown and Vandalia, IL. and along time member of Brownstown Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by Wife, Margaret Beccue of Vandalia, IL; Daughters: Jane Boatman & Craig of Larkspur, CO & Janet Pattillo & Steve of Saint Elmo, IL; Daughter In-law: Janet Voelker & Vaughn of Altamont, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Paul, Troy, Laura, Blake, Aaron & Crystal and 8 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by Parents and Sister=Donna Miller.
