Ruth Louise Godwin, 93, of Sullivan, Illinois, formerly of Ramsey, Pana, Sullivan and Tower Hill, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023, at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Ramsey Cemetery, Ramsey, IL with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Memorials: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Born April 1, 1929, in Bruce, IL, the daughter of Charles Wesley & Sousa "Susie" A. (Montgomery) Webb. She married Levi Leon Godwin on December 11, 1953, in Sullivan, IL. He passed away on March 7, 2001. She worked as a nursing home administrator at Barry Healthcare in Pana, IL for over 20 years before her retirement; was a member of Ramsey's Ben-Hur Literary Club; and was affiliated with the United Methodist Church and Methodist Women.

Survived by: Daughters - Shirley Vazquez & Frank, Manuel, TX, Kay Gatton & Henry, Shelbyville, IL, Janet Berns & Tom, Mentone, AL, Marcy Ilena Godwin Hayse & Frank, Sullivan, IL, and Debbie Godwin, Pana, IL; 11 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: Her Parents; Husband; Son - Jack Punches; 1 Brother; and 4 Sisters.
