Obituary
Ruby E. Wodtka, 85, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017, in Springfield, IL.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Overcup Baptist Church, Rural Vandalia, IL, with Rev. Joe Lawson, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 1, 2017, prior to the service, at the church. Memorials: Overcup Baptist Church, Rural Vandalia, IL.
She was born June 5, 1931, in Rural Farina, IL, the daughter of Herman John & Bonnie D. (Sutton) Meyer. Married Elmer Henry Wodtka September 18, 1949, St. Peter, IL, he passed away September 26, 2003. She was a CNA @ Fayette Co. Hospital; former waitress at Henrys and Robins Restaurants; and a member of Overcup Baptist Church, all of Vandalia, IL.
She is survived by: Sons - David Wodtka & Cheryl, Vandalia, IL, Dennis Wodtka & Debbie, Bingham, IL, Doug Wodtka & Marsha, Vandalia, IL, Darrell Wodtka & Carolyn, Shobonier, IL and Dallas Wodtka & Jean, Ramsey, IL; 9 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband.
