Roy P. Carruthers, 78, of Ramsey, IL, died on Friday, October 18, 2013 at his home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL, with the Pastor David Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery, in Rural Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 21, 2013 and 1hr before service on Tuesday, October 22 at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL. Masonic Rite will be at 7:30 PM. Monday, October 21 at the Church. Memorials: Vera Baptist Church and/or Lincoln Land Hospice. He was born May 28, 1935, in Wallworth County, WI, the Son of Claude P. and Ima S. (Hardiman) Carruthers. He married Judy Ann Snider, August 18, 1959 in Patoka, IL. Roy was a retired Plaster/Drywall Finisher and Farmer, a member of Vera Baptist Church & A.F. & A.M. Lodge, Herrick, IL and a U.S. Army Veteran 1957-1960. He is survived by Wife: Judy Carruthers, Ramsey, IL; Sons: Steven Carruthers & Stephanie, Bingham, IL, and Sam Carruthers, Patoka, IL; , Daughters: Pam Marlow & Steve, Centralia, IL, Shelly Keppler & Kevin, Vandalia, IL, Deena Mosbarger & Robert, Flora, IL, Lawanda "Jane" Carruthers & Diana, Springfield, IL, and Wanita Lister & Jason, Louisburg, MO; Brothers: Richard, Cloide "Jr." and Daniel "Boone" Carruthers, all of Ramsey, IL; Sisters: Imogene Koepnick, Elkhorn, WI, Helen Culbertson, Vandalia, IL, Donna Depew, Shiloh, IL and Nancy Stanton, Coffeen, IL ; 18 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by Parents, 2 Brothers & 4 Sisters
