Rosemary Case, 100, of Pana, IL, formerly of Vandalia, IL, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Pana Health & Rehab Center in Pana, IL.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Old Loogootee Cemetery, Rural Loogootee, IL. Memorials: Old Loogootee Cemetery. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net.
She was born August 25, 1923, in Fayette County, IL, the daughter of William E. & Odean E. (Cripe) Gelsinger. She married Lembert E. Case on June 25, 1940, in Bardwell, KY. He passed away on May 5, 2002. She was a homemaker for her two sons, Steve and Norman, and worked as a seamstress at Princess Peggy Garment Factory in Vandalia, IL for many years. She was a member of First Church of God, Vandalia, IL. If you knew Rosemary, you knew she loved to cook, garden, and care for other people. Family members knew they didn't need to can food because she supplied them all. In her later years, she had learned to take life as it came, and kept her family entertained with her comments about life.
She is survived by: Son - Steven Case & Charlene; Grandchildren - Stacy Burgener & Brad, Shawn Case & Amy, ShaeLynn Woods & Scott, and Troy Case; 10 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; Brothers - Bill and Jim Gelsinger; and Sisters - Lois Finley and Ruth Shipley.
Preceded in death by: Her Parents; Husband; Son - Norman Case; 1 Brother; and 4 Sisters.
