Ronald W. Koonce, 57, of Fillmore, IL, died on Monday, December 09, 2013. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL, with Dr. Roger Grimmett officiating. Burial will be in Green-Hill Cemetery, in Rural Fillmore, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 AM, prior to the service on Friday, at the church. He was born September 02, 1956, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Bill Lloyd and Nelda June (Ricke) Koonce. He married Barbara J. (Ellis) on April 11, 1981, in Irving, IL. He was a laborer at Carlisle Syntech, Greenville, IL; a member of the NRA & First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL. He is survived by: wife, Barbara Koonce, Fillmore, IL; Sons: Josh Koonce & Jes Koonce, both of Vandalia, IL; father, Billy Koonce, Fillmore, IL; Brothers: James Koonce & Linda, Bingham, IL & Ted Koonce, Coffeen, IL. Preceded in death by: Mother; & Brother: Donald Koonce.
