Robyne Renae (Ellis) Gregory, age 46, of Mt. Zion, IL passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 surrounded by her family at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL.

She was born December 19, 1978, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Jerry L. and Patricia D. (Pettyjohn) Ellis. She married James L. "Jim" Gregory on December 19, 2012. Robyne was always full of light, she loved Camaros, pioneer woman, and she loved to craft.

Robyne was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, and sister. She is survived by 4 children, Anthony Schmitt, Justin Schmitt (Bryanna Peck), Tailer Schmitt (Joni Suttles), and Makayla Dunn (Ricky Dunn); her loving husband, James Gregory; and 9 beautiful grandchildren, Dakota, Levi, Paisleigh, Novie, Dokota, Whynter, Abby, Novah, and Noah; 3 brothers, Chris, Jeff and Jerry; 1 sister, Diane; special nephew, Jeremy Ellis; mother, Patricia Ellis; and grandmother, Ruby Pettyjohn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Ellis; grandfather, William Ellis; and grandmother, Mary Jane Davis.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Pilcher Cemetery, Rural Brownstown, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Robyne's family and/or Miller Funeral Home.
