Robert F. "Bob" Baggett, 77, of Vandalia, IL, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Fayette County Hospital, in Vandalia, IL. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, IL with Pastor Peter Kolb officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, in Centralia, IL. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2013, and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: American Parkinson Disease Association. He was born on September 20, 1935, in Springfield, TN, the son of Benjamin M. and Thelma I. (Corzine) Baggett. He married Corrine L. Poehler on June 21, 1958, in Centralia, IL. He was a retired Illinois State Trooper, a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL and Troopers Lodge #41. Bob also served in the Army National Guard 1958-1960. He is survived by Wife Corrine of Vandalia, IL; Sons: Doug Baggett, St. Joseph, MO; Don Baggett & Bobi, St. Louis, MO; Tom Baggett & Marilyn, Metamora, IL; Sisters: Mary Jo Wooden, Salem, IL; Wanda Babb, Horn Lake, MS; Pat Huddleston, Springfield, IL; 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Parents; Brother: Ben Baggett; and Sister: Dorothy Worth.
