Rita Lou Miller, 81, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at SBL Fayette County Hospital LTC in Vandalia, IL.

She was born October 29, 1941, in Brownstown, IL, the daughter of Lester Raymond & Wilma Louise (Morris) Miller. Rita was a member of the First Christian Church of Brownstown. She worked at her dad's cafe, Miller's Cafe, in Brownstown, Montgomery Ward as a tailor's helper and later as an office employee, she did sewing for Sports Authority in Joliet; she was a caregiver for her stepdad, Sylvester Novak, and later was owner and operator of Sew Right Sisters in Vandalia.

She is survived by: Son - Steven Jones & Sara-Ann, Altamont, IL; Brother - Jimmie Miller, Wilmington, IL; Sisters - Phyllis Pryor, Palm Shores, FL, Carol Oldham, Vandalia, IL, Shirlee Novak, Dewitt, IL; Grandchildren - Sydney & Lucas Jones; Several Nieces & Nephews.
