Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 02, 2016, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, , with Pastor Robert Francisco officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL, with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, July 01, 2016, at Miller funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: First Christian Church, and/or Fayette Co. Cancer Fund.

He was born October 18, 1948, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Charles Pershing & Hetty Ellen (Trueblood) Fair. He was a retired Illinois State Police Inspector and Army Veteran. Rick was a member of First Christian Church, Vandalia, IL; NRA; A.C.F.E. and Illinois Pilots Association, .

He is survived by: Son - Eric Fair & Kate, St. Louis, MO; Daughter - Monica Fair, Chicago, IL; Aunt - Helen Sprinkle, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren - Charles and Thomas Fair.

Preceded in death by: his parents.
