Rex Hayes, 83, of Hillsboro, IL, formerly of Ramsey, IL, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Ctr., Hillsboro, IL.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 24, 2015, at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL, with Pastors Don Price and Jeff Shouse, officiating. Burial will follow at Ramsey Cemetery, Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 23, 2015 and 1 hr. prior to the service on Friday, July 24, 2015, all at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL. Memorials: First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL.

He was born on November 26, 1931, in Fayette County, IL, the Son of Oral John and Ethel Augusta (Hill) Hayes. He married Mary Jean Tedrick, September 27, 1949, in Mulberry Grove, IL. He was the Owner/Operator of Re-Mar Grain Co., Ramsey, IL, former employee of Midwest Milk and a member of First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL.

He is survived by: Wife - Mary Jean Hayes, Hillsboro, IL; Sons - Michael Hayes & Robin and Mark Hayes & Janice, both of Ramsey, IL; Daughters - Karen Hayes, Chrisman, IL, Kathy Weiss & Lloyd, Clinton, IL, and Pamela McFarland & David, Ramsey, IL; Brother - Leo Hayes & Juanita, Ramsey, IL; Sisters - Barbara Jackson, Taylorville, IL and Bette Radford & Troy, Nokomis, IL; 12 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Daughter - Marsha Kay Hayes; Sister - Roberta Sanders.
