Olivia Mae Blain, 17, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Vandalia, IL.


Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Private burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 7, 2023, two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials: Second Chance Animal Rescue, rural Vandalia, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. She was born December 27, 2005, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Brian David & Jessica Rae (Carter) Blain. She was currently studying at Kaskaskia College and working as a CNA at Aperion Care, St. Elmo, IL.


She is survived by: Her Parents - Brian & Jessie Blain, Vandalia, IL; Brother - Dylan James Blain at home; Paternal Grandparents - David Blain & Kathy, Vandalia, IL; Maternal Grandparents - Brad & Dixie Carter, Ramsey, IL; and Great Grandmothers - Joyce Carter, Vandalia, IL and Jean Askins, Pana, IL.


Preceded in death by: Great Grandfathers - Jim Carter and Gloyd Askins; and Great Grandmother - Judy Diveley.
