Mickey "Mick" G. Smith, 62, of Shobonier, Illinois, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN, with his sons by his side.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Days Inn/ America's Best Value Inn, 51 North, Vandalia, IL with visitation from 10-11am * before the service. There will also be a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the VFW, Vandalia, IL. Memorials are requested to Shriners Hospital for Children. He was born, August 31, 1953, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Wallace Leverle "Buck" & Mary Joan (Oldham) Smith. Married Dana Lynn Taylor, June 30, 1973 in Vandalia, IL. He was a Construction Laborer. Mick was a member of Temperance Lodge # 16 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Masonic Bodies and Ainad Temple Shrine.

He is survived by: Three sons - Justin Smith, Creve Coeur, IL, Lucas Smith & Karla, Shobonier, IL and Seth Smith, Vandalia, IL. Brother- Mike Smith & Barbara, Hershey, PA; 7 Grandchildren- Lexy, Taylor, Deryck, Victoria, Karly, Samantha & Emma; Step-Father- Max Rench, Vera, IL; Nephew- Brent Smith, Brownstown, IL
