Michael Glen Baucum, age 76, of Vandalia, IL passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at his home in Vandalia, IL.

Michael was born September 4, 1949, the son of William Glen Baucum and Versie Rae (Andre) Baucum in Raceland, LA. He married Melissa Ann Bone on April 2, 1989. Michael worked for many years at the correctional center in Vandalia. He loved his motorcycle and enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his wife; Melissa Baucum, his sons; Scott (Traci) Baucum and Brandon (Dana) Baucum, his grandchildren; Devin (Savannah), Bradin, and Tyler, a great grandchild; Everett, and his siblings; Sandra, Steven, Russell, Darren, and Michelle.

He is preceded in death by his parents; William and Versie Baucum.
