Scott Minix officiating. Burial will follow at Ramsey Cemetery, in Ramsey, IL.. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL. Memorials: First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL. He was born, August 17, 1921, in Ardmore, SD, the Son of William and Goldie (Darby) Caylor. Married June Louise England, February 02, 1947 in Ramsey, IL. Merle was a farmer and former employee of IL Department of Corrections, in charge of the milk pasturizing program, Vandalia, IL . A member of Reeds Chapel and affiliated with First Baptist Church both of Ramsey, IL, and a World War II Army Veteran. He is survived by: Wife - June Caylor, Ramsey, IL; Sons - Edwin "Ed" & Kathy Caylor, Ramsey, IL, Allen & Darlene Caylor, Avon, IN; Grandchildren - Michelle, Shannon, Adam & Danica; Great Grandchildren - Lorelei, Echo, Lyric & Kalen; Brothers - Loren & Betty Caylor, Edgemont, SD and Billy & Barbara Caylor, Custer, SD; Sisters - Ramona Jackson, Vandalia, IL and Betty & Melvin Welch, Edgemont, SD.
