Melvin E. Allen 78of Ramsey, Illinois passed January 1, 2021 away at home surrounded by his family.

Cremation rites were accorded and family services will be held at a later date.

Melvin was born June 10, 1942 in Shelby County, Illinois the son of Joe & Josephine (Sarver) Allen. He married Debra Sue Fields June 6, 1978 in Shelby County, Illinois. a retired farmer and a member of the Pana Pentecostal Church, Pana Illinois.

Survived by: Wife – Debra Allen Ramsey, IL; 1 Son - Shawn Allen Ramsey, IL, 1 Daughter – Rebecca Forbes Ramsey, IL; 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren; 3 Brothers – Alvie Allen & Debbie, George Allen & Joyce, Glenn Allen & Frieda all of Herrick, Illinois; 2 Sisters – Donna Galvin Herrick, IL and Mary Heiman Shelbyville, IL; 2 Half Brothers – Richie Allen and Lloyd Allen & Lori both of Herrick, IL.; 3 Half Sisters – Audrey Enyart Arthur, IL, Lori Allen and Connie Allen both of Herrick, IL.

Preceded in death by: Parents; 1 Half Brother and 1 Half Sister.
