He was born, February 2, 1937, in Rural Vandalia, IL, the son of Rufus & Edith E. (Bone) Cripe. Married Marjorie Faye Forehand on February 11, 1956, in Vandalia, IL. He was the former Owner/Operator of Cripes Used Car Sales, Vandalia, IL.

He is survived by: Wife - Marjorie Faye Cripe, Vandalia, IL; Son - Larry Cripe & Diane, Bingham, IL; Daughter - Sandra Cripe, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren - Rick Cripe & Maranatha, Palmetto, FL; Morse Hames & Emily, St. Elmo, IL; Tyler Cripe & Tiera, Hagarstown, IL; Shalet Carroll, Fillmore, IL; Brady Cripe & Casey, Bingham, IL; and Christopher Carroll & Elizabeth, Charles City, VA; Several Great Grandchildren.
