Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home, Fillmore, IL , with Father Robert Porter officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, in Fillmore, IL. with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home in Fillmore, IL. Memorials: Fillmore Fire Department, Fillmore, IL He was born on Wednesday, October 09, 1935, in Dieterich, IL, the son of Alfonda "Alf" and Clara B. (Krone) Beckman. He married Ella C. (Morris) Moreland in 1980 in Fillmore. He was the retired Chief of Police of Fillmore serving 33 years and Electrician for Fillmore Grain. Maurice was a veteran of the U.S. Army 1955-1958 and National Guard for 9 years. He was affiliated with the Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, a member of the Moose Lodge in Vandalia, IL also a former volunteer for Fillmore Fire Department. He is survived by wife, Ella Beckman of Fillmore, IL. One Son: Darin Beckman and Paula, Fillmore, IL. One Grandson: Derek Beckman, Fillmore, IL.
