Mary Ann Miller, age 83 of Ramsey, IL passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026 at her home in Ramsey, IL. 

She was born April 2, 1943 in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Glen Maurice and Marjorie Craigie (Campbell) Stombaugh. She married Larry Miller on August 27, 1966 in Vandalia, IL. Mary taught art at Cowden-Herrick schools, and also taught history and social studies at Ramsey High School for 20 years. She also taught art classes at the Vandalia Correctional Center. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Vandalia, IL. Mary was very crafty and enjoyed creating things. She was a dress maker, and made many wedding and bridesmaid dresses, she also enjoyed making wreaths. She was an artist and painter, and enjoyed working with stained glass as well. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, reading, playing games on her computer, and doing puzzles. 

Mary is survived by her husband, Larry Miller of Ramsey, IL; son, Joseph (Elizabeth) Miller of Pana, IL; daughter, Marjorie "Janie" Miller of Rantoul, IL; grandchildren, Kayla Newlin, Dalton Miller, Sydney (Luis) Perez, Savanna Jones, and Niko Jones; great grandchildren, Ruby Perez, Lana Kraal, and Manuel Perez. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George and Bob; and sisters, Glenda and Jane.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, IL. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or the American Cancer Society. Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL is in charge of arrangements.
