Margaret "Jaynece" Dothager, 94, of Greenville, Illinois, formerly of Mulberry Grove, Illinois, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Cedarhurst of Greenville, in Greenville, Illinois, surrounded by all of her children. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at First Baptist Church, Mulberry Grove, IL, with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery, rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Mulberry Grove, IL, and/or Fayco Enterprises, Vandalia, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net. She was born July 17, 1926, in Rural Coffeen, IL, the daughter of Reginald L. & Almeda B. (Causey) Blankenship. She married Wilbert Herman Dothager on January 27, 1951, in Rural Coffeen, IL. He passed away December 7, 2010. She was a retired teacher and member of First Baptist Church, Mulberry Grove, IL. Jaynece was a life-long educator throughout the Vandalia School district and surrounding areas. She started teaching when she was 18 years old in a one-room schoolhouse and continued into her retirement years. Jaynece enjoyed reading to her students and also taught Sunday and Bible School. She is survived by: Sons - Daniel Dothager & Aurelia, Fairhope, AL, Dwight Dothager & Julie, Vandalia, IL, and Randal Dothager, Mulberry Grove, IL; Daughters - Janice Dodson & Danny, Pocahontas, IL and Regina Robart & Vaughn, Greenville, IL; 15 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; Brother - Roger Blankenship & Janet, Nokomis, IL; and Sister - Jewel Gunn & Kenneth, Fayetteville, GA. Preceded in death by: Her Parents; Husband; Brothers - Harold & Reginald Blankenship; and Sisters - Infant-Joy & Rosemary Blankenship.
