Marcella Peek, 103, of Fillmore, Illinois, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021, in Hillsboro, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Miller Funeral Home, Fillmore, Illinois with Rev. Michael Plummer and Rev. Houston Jackson Officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore, Illinois. She was born Saturday, March 31, 1917, in IL, the daughter of Jason C. & Edythe M. Carter. Married Charles Wesley Peek on Saturday, March 30, 1940, in Springfield, IL. Charles passed away August 19, 1993. She was a secretarial clerk at Horace Mann Insurance and also worked at the Strong Cafeteria both in Springfield, Illinois and a member of the Fillmore Baptist Church, Fillmore, IL.

Marcella was loved by all who knew her.She loved being with her family, gardening, traveling and she was a great cook.

Marcella was blessed with and cherished by her surviving; Son - Richard "Dick" Peek, Fillmore, IL; Daughter - Marcy Schneider, Jeffersonville, IN.: Several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; 4 Brothers – Henry "Buster", Chester, Ezra and Victor Carter; 6 Sisters – Juanita Clowdus, Cleda Bessmer, Ruby Rickher, Allie Carter, Hylda Hill and Madge Porter.
