Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL. Memorials: Alzheimer's Association.

She was born on August 25, 1925, in Fayette Co, IL, the Daughter of Elmer S. and Bertha Alice (Cearlock) Rhodes. She married Kenneth M. Cothern, January 4, 1949, in Greenville, IL, he passed away October 24, 1967. She was a retired Inventory Clerk @ Houser Automotive and attended Trinity Methodist Church, Granite City, IL.

She is survived by: Son - Michael L. Cothern & Suzanne Smiley, Brighton, IL; 2 Grandchildren - Jason Cothern, and Jamie Mannino & Drew; 2 Great Grandchildren - Ava and Declan Mannino.

Preceded in death by; Parents; Husband; Sisters - Bessie Hicks, Ruby Meyer, Molly Meyer, Dorothy Fish and Beulah Sanders.
